- Applicants must be first-authors
- Students who apply for multiple awards (e.g., Research Proposal, Poster awards, etc.) are eligible to win only one award.
- Please read the application guidelines (below) before filling the award form
- DEADLINE: Monday, March 1st, 2021 (by 5pm)
Awards Application Guidelines
Types of Student Awards:
1. Oral Presentations
1. Oral Presentations
- 2 Research Proposal Award (MA/MEd) - $200
- 2 Research Proposal Award (PhD) - $200
The purpose of the student research proposal awards is to identify and support emerging scholars in the field of education-related research and to encourage rigorous scholarship.
In the awards application form, you will need to include your original abstract submission and a 500-word (maximum) Cover Letter addressing the relevance of your proposal to the conference theme and how your proposed research will contribute to the advancement of education-related knowledge. |
2. Poster Presentations
- 1 Poster Excellence Award (MA/MEd/BA) - $150
- 1 Poster Excellence Award (PhD/ Other Degree) - $150
The purpose of the student poster awards is to promote interest and acceptance of the poster in the dissemination of educational research, to increase the quality of poster presentations, and to acknowledge excellence through visual tools.

In the awards application form, you will need to include your original abstract submission. In addition, you will need to submit a completed PDF version of the poster to [email protected] and via the form before the deadline.

3. Round Table Presentations:
- 1 Research Proposal Award (MA/MEd) - $200
- 1 Research Proposal Award (Ph.D.) - $200
The purpose of the student research proposal awards is to identify and support emerging scholars in the field of education-related research and to encourage rigorous scholarship.

4. Fast5 Presentations:
- 1st Place Presentation Award - $200
- 2nd Place Presentation Award - $100
The purpose of the FAST5s Award is to recognize and encourage emerging skills in oral dissemination of academic research in an effective and engaging manner to a broad audience. And so, the applicants will be evaluated during their presentation.
If you got accepted for a Fast5 presentation, you are automatically part of this competition. |
5. Other Formats:
